A $500 donation to the Salvation Army Food bank was made Tuesday by the Strathroy Lions Club. Lions President Mark Iggulden says this funding is one way to help out a long-standing organization during tough times.
Major Roland Shea said the money always goes towards helping those in need.
Iggulden says like everyone the Lions had to adjust to the pandemic and as a result they can’t operate as many events they normally do which means there’s less money coming in but they’re doing what they can. Shea said they’re always thankful for community donations and their organization is standing strong throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
