Lions Tune In Some Radios For Army Cadets

The Strathroy Lions Club put forth a monetary donation recently to assist the #11 Strathroy Army Cadets. The cadets program engages youth aged 12 to 19 teaching leadership, community service and more.  The cadets approached the Lions asking to cover any portion of the $2300 estimated cost for 5 Motorola Radios and 10 replacement batteries. Commanding Officer Captain Jason Steen says the radios are commonly used in the field.

He thanked the Lions while also saying the organization has always been there when they need them. The Lions CLub ended up covering the entire cost.
